What is Brow Lamination/Tint?

Brow lamination, otherwise known as an “eyebrow perm” is ideal for individuals with thinning or unruly brows. Unlike microblading, neither needles nor pigments are involved in the process. Overall, the goal of eyebrow lamination is to make the brows look full and thick, all while maintaining their natural appearance.

Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows. Your specialist will darken the thin, light hairs to give your brows a fuller look in a way that appears natural. The process is simple and only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

How is Lamination and Tinting done?

Lift

Your provider will apply a cream to your eyebrows which will allow the hairs to be lifted and combed.

Brush

Your hairs will be brushed upward in a uniform manner to achieve the desired shape. This process utilizes your natural eyebrows to create a more defined, intense look.

Neutralizer

A neutralizer serum will be applied to the brows. This helps seal them in place, otherwise "laminating" the eyebrows.

Tint and Final Shaping

This is where your provider will ask you if you would like to apply tint as well. The tint emphasizes the natural color of your brows to create an even more defined look. This is also where your provider will go over the shape with you, as a thread or wax can be used to fix any indiscretions with the shape or size of the brow.

Lamination and Tint FAQ

Will my brows look normal the next day?

For the first 24 hours after lamination, you can expect your eyebrows to have a somewhat “wet” appearance. Once washed, they should no longer look this way. However, if the freshly-microbladed look is what you’re going for, then a brow gel or serum can help you retain that “wet” look.

Is the procedure painful?

This method is preferable to microblading for those who are especially impervious to pain. A majority of clients testify that the extent of their discomfort is a slight tingling sensation when the cream is applied. This is a more noninvasive procedure than other options, so it’s perfect for the squeamish beauty queens out there.

How often will I need maintenance for my new brows?

What does the healing process look like?
