What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are attached to your preexisting lashes. Individual lashes are applied to each of your natural hairs using semi-permanent glue. Extensions come in a variety of lengths, curl patterns, and tints.

How are Eyelash Extensions done?

1

Design

Your provider will go over which options are best suited for you and your lifestyle. Our professionals can help you determine which set of lashes will bring out the chic in you.
2

Setup

Now that you've chosen your lashes, a strip of medical grade tape will be used to hold your bottom lashes down while the extensions are applied.
3

Application

Extensions are dipped in medical grade cement and applied to the individual lashes. This process is repeated until the desired volume is achieved.
4

Aftercare

After the procedure, it is recommended to keep your extensions dry for one to two days in order to ensure proper adhesion. Usually, your extensions will begin to cycle out within 3 to 4 weeks. At this time you can either decide to get them filled in or wait another 3 weeks or so for them to fully cycle out.

Eyelash Extensions FAQ

How do I pick my extensions?

Eyelash extensions come in a variety of lengths, colors, shapes and sizes. You’ll want a set of extensions that compliments your eye shape, lash length, and lifestyle. Your provider will sit down with you and go over which options might suit you best, and what your personal preferences are. This all happens before any extensions are applied, so you’ll always know what you’re getting before you commit.

Can I still wear makeup?

Yes, you can! However, we do not recommend using any oil based or waterproof mascaras. There are plenty of extension-safe options out there, so don’t fear.

How often will I need maintenance for my new lashes?

Eyelash extensions are cool because they’ll naturally cycle out on their own. There’s no need to come in to have them removed, as they’ll usually fall off on their own in three to four weeks. While the lash adhesive will naturally break down over time, one of our providers can always help you remove them sooner if you so choose.

What does the aftercare look like?

One of the great things about eyelash extensions is that they’re pretty low-maintenance. We recommend keeping your new extensions dry for at least 24 hours, or two days if you can. This ensures that the lashes adhere properly and won’t fall out prematurely.

What should I do before my appointment?

You’ll want a clean surface to apply to extensions to. Before your appointment, it’s recommended to clean your eyes with an oil-free cleanser or eye makeup remover. You’ll want fresh, uncurled lashes as well- this ensures that the extensions can adhere properly to the uncreased lashes. Lastly, don’t wear any eye makeup to the appointment.
