What is Microblading?

Similar to a tattoo, microblading is a cosmetic procedure where pigment is inserted underneath the skin using a needle or electric needle tool. The desired effect is a perfect, natural looking set of brows. The effects of microblading can last between 18-30 months, after which it is usually time for a touch up.

How is Microblading Done?

1

Design

Your bone structure and face shape will come into play when you sit down to discuss your design options. We will take measurements and consult with you so that your eyebrows can be reshaped to perfectly frame your eyes.
2

Color

We will help you pick the most natural shade for your skin tone and hair color.
3

Pigmentation

Tiny, emulated hair strokes are etched into the skin using a micro blade tool. Sterile needles implant pigment underneath the skin to mimic the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, or to compliment the client’s existing features. This process is done in layers, and the lines appear crisp and fine for a more natural appearance.
4

Touch-Up

6-8 weeks after the first treatment, given that there were no complications, a follow up appointment is usually advised to get the full effect.

Microblading FAQ

Will my brows look normal the next day?

While slight redness and swelling is to be expected for the first few hours after your appointment, your brows should be runway ready in no time.

Is the procedure painful?

Some clients say that waxing and threading is more painful than microblading, but everybody reacts differently to pain. The procedure is quick, with no downtime to ensure that the procedure is as painless as possible.

How often will I need maintenance for my new brows?

Microblading is not a one time procedure. Typically, the effects of microblading will wear off within 18-30 months of getting it done. After this time, the effects of microblading will be minimal, if noticeable at all. Thus, it is recommended that you schedule a touch-up about once every year.

What does the healing process look like?

The initial healing process takes 10 to 14 days. In the first few days, they will look dark and thick. Around day five, they may scab and flake slightly. After a few days, they may appear a bit light. However, at the end of the 10-14 day healing period they should look healed and natural, with maybe a few spots that need to be touched up. A follow up appointment may be necessary after the initial appointment.

Why is microblading so popular?

An experienced microblading artist can create the most natural-looking brows to compliment the natural beauty of every client’s face, bone structure, and skin tone. Also, there is virtually no downtime. Brows will be photo ready shortly after the procedure, so you don’t have to be concerned with an ugly recovery process. Lastly, microblading cuts down on daily upkeep and preparation, all while ultimately saving you money on other eyebrow products.
